The Role
As Branch Manager, you will oversee the full operational, commercial, and strategic performance of a key Air Freight branch. You will drive service excellence, strengthen customer relationships, and lead a dedicated team of logistics professionals in a fast‑paced freight forwarding environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, develop, and mentor the branch team across operations, customer service, and commercial functions
- Oversee all Air Freight operations, ensuring best‑in‑class service delivery and compliance
- Manage P&L for the branch and deliver on financial targets
- Strengthen and expand key client relationships
- Identify commercial growth opportunities and support business development activities
- Ensure adherence to industry regulations, quality standards, and internal policies
- Drive continuous improvement, operational efficiency, and high‑performance culture
Requirements
- Proven leadership and technical experience within Air Freight
- Strong understanding of operational processes, key stakeholders, and industry compliance
- Experience with big matrix organisations
- Demonstrated ability to manage P&L and deliver on commercial KPIs
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to inspire teams and maintain a positive working culture
- Based in (or willing to relocate to) the Amsterdam region
- Must speak fluent English, Dutch is a big plus
