Controls Engineer
We're looking for a skilled Controls Engineer to play a key role in supporting the Cleveland-based manufacturing site. This position is ideal for someone with strong technical expertise in automation, control systems, and industrial equipment who thrives in a hands-on, problem-solving environment.
Role Overview:
You'll be responsible for developing, maintaining, and troubleshooting control systems to ensure smooth operations across several production facilities. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams, assist with project execution, and provide remote technical support when needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, troubleshoot, and optimize PLC programs across various hardware platforms
Connect and integrate industrial equipment into plant-wide control and data systems
Configure and manage Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) locally and through PLCs
Interpret electrical and mechanical diagrams for troubleshooting and implementation
Collaborate on engineering projects, supporting the delivery of automation solutions
Travel up to 30% domestically and potentially internationally to support on-site needs
What We're Looking For:
Degree in Controls Engineering or a closely related field (experience may substitute)
3-5 years of experience in control systems engineering; background in rubber, chemical, or plastics manufacturing is a plus
Strong electrical diagnostics skills (up to 480V)
Demonstrated ability to work independently while also collaborating with cross-functional teams
