Data Sourcing & Strategy Analyst
A hedge fund is seeking to hire a Data Sourcing & Strategy Analyst based out of their Manhattan office.
Work model: 4 days in office, 1 day work from home (Friday).

- Dataset Evaluation - Conduct initial analysis, validation, and quality checks on new data sources.
- Vendor & Contract Management - Oversee negotiation, execution, and renewal of data vendor agreements.
You'll collaborate with internal teams to ensure data meets business needs and work with sourcing partners to identify insights for investment strategies.
Key Responsibilities
Data Analysis & Onboarding
- Explore and validate datasets using Python/SQL before handoff to data scientists.
- Partner with stakeholders to identify data opportunities and coordinate onboarding post-contract execution.
Vendor Management
- Manage contract lifecycle: negotiation, execution, renewals, and record-keeping.
Market Awareness
- Monitor alternative data trends, regulations, and share insights with the team.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree; 2-5 years in data sourcing, vendor management, or related fields.
- Proficiency in Python/SQL for basic data checks.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
Preferred
- Familiarity with alternative data in investment contexts.
- Experience managing vendor contracts.
Compensation
Base salary: $130K-$225K
