Director of Product Management
A growing manufacturing organization is seeking a Product Management Director to lead a diverse consumer product portfolio across North America. This role owns a meaningful revenue segment and is responsible for driving product strategy, innovation, and profitability across multiple categories and channels.
This is a highly visible role with end-to-end accountability for portfolio performance, pricing, and long-term growth, working closely with commercial, operations, and technical teams.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Growth
- Define and execute product strategy across a broad consumer product portfolio
- Identify new market opportunities across retail, e-commerce, and private label channels
- Lead cross-functional initiatives to support growth and market expansion
- Analyze customer trends, category dynamics, and competitive positioning
- Engage with key customers and partners to support business development efforts
Product Development & Roadmap
- Build and manage short- and long-term product roadmaps
- Partner with cross-functional teams to develop and commercialize new products
- Lead product lifecycle management from concept through launch and optimization
- Prioritize projects and investments to maximize return
P&L Ownership & Pricing
- Own product line financial performance, including pricing and margins
- Partner with Finance, Operations, and Supply Chain to improve cost position
- Develop and execute pricing strategies across channels
- Identify opportunities to enhance profitability and product mix
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Collaborate closely with Sales to drive growth across key accounts
- Partner with Marketing on product positioning and go-to-market execution
- Work with Operations and Supply Chain to ensure reliable product delivery
- Align internal teams around strategic priorities and execution plans
Qualifications
- 10+ years of product management experience in a consumer products or manufacturing environment
- Experience supporting retail, e-commerce, or private label channels preferred
- Proven track record of managing product performance or owning a P&L
- Strong financial acumen and analytical decision-making skills
- Experience influencing cross-functional teams in a matrixed organization
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred
