Division Director of Facility Management
One of our partners in the Healthcare industry is looking to bring on a Division Director of Facility Management. This person will oversee facility operations across a regional division, working closely with local facility directors and hospital leadership to manage infrastructure, staffing, capital projects, and compliance. This role requires frequent site visits, strong leadership development skills, and deep expertise in hospital facility maintenance and regulatory standards. Success in this position depends on exceptional problem-solving, communication, and organizational abilities.
Compensation: $150,000-$190,000
Location: Remote with up to 50% travel in the Richmond, VA area
The Division Director of Facility Management will have the following responsibilities:
- Conduct regular site visits to assess facility conditions, review urgent needs, and ensure compliance with HCA standards using CMMS, compliance software, and performance metrics.
- Oversee preventive maintenance programs, infrastructure evaluations, and capital project scopes, ensuring alignment with regulatory codes and HCA MEP design guidelines.
- Provide technical support during emergencies, infrastructure failures, and major shutdowns, while also assisting with disaster preparedness and remediation efforts.
- Support staffing by assisting with hiring, training, and evaluating facility management teams, and identifying future leaders for development.
- Deliver quarterly performance reports, maintain asset condition databases, and evaluate vendor performance across the division.
- Collaborate with facility leadership to improve operational efficiency, ensure survey readiness, and support strategic planning and budgeting.
- Manage capital planning and financial oversight for infrastructure systems, ensuring cost-effective operations and accurate vendor invoicing.
The Division Director of Facility Management will have the following skillset:
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering-related discipline.
- Minimum of 7 years of facility management experience in an acute care setting, including at least 3 years in a director-level leadership role.
- Advanced credentials such as a Master's degree, Professional Engineer (PE) license, Certified Healthcare Facility Manager (CHFM), or Certified Healthcare Executive (CHE) are highly desirable.
