EHS Field Technician
Job Description:
The Field Safety Technician supports the implementation and enforcement of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) programs within a chemical manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for conducting field inspections, monitoring worker compliance, assisting with safety training, and ensuring adherence to OSHA, EPA, and company-specific safety standards. The technician plays a key role in identifying hazards, investigating incidents, and promoting a strong safety culture among employees and contractors.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct routine safety audits, inspections, and job safety analyses in field and plant operations.
Monitor use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe work practices.
Assist in incident investigations and root cause analyses.
Support safety training sessions and onboarding for field personnel.
Maintain accurate safety documentation and assist with regulatory reporting.
Qualifications:
Associate degree or safety certification (e.g., OSHA 30, CHST) preferred.
2+ years of field safety experience in a chemical or industrial manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other relevant regulations.
Excellent communication and observational skills.
