EHS Manager

Job Summary:
The EHS Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive environmental, health, and safety programs to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as internal standards. This role is critical in promoting a culture of safety and sustainability within a high-purity chemical manufacturing environment, where precision, contamination control, and regulatory compliance are paramount.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage all EHS programs, policies, and procedures to ensure a safe and compliant workplace.
  • Conduct risk assessments, safety audits, and incident investigations; implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, and other applicable regulations.
  • Oversee hazardous materials handling, chemical storage, and waste disposal in accordance with high-purity standards.
  • Develop and deliver EHS training programs for employees and contractors.
  • Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to integrate EHS considerations into process design and facility upgrades.
  • Maintain documentation and reporting for regulatory agencies and internal stakeholders.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in safety performance and environmental stewardship.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of EHS experience in chemical manufacturing, preferably in high-purity or semiconductor-grade environments.
  • Strong knowledge of EHS regulations and best practices.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Certification such as CSP, CIH, or CHMM is a plus.
