Job Title: Senior Electrical Engineer
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead initiatives to ensure a safe and healthy work environment, maintaining compliance with all relevant government regulations and internal policies related to equipment and process design. This includes facilitating design safety reviews.
- Develop and apply technical expertise to ensure process designs meet sanitary standards and are capable of producing products that align with customer and business expectations.
- Provide leadership in the electrical design of components, equipment, and processes using sound engineering principles and industry best practices.
- Drive continuous improvement efforts globally in the areas of safety, quality, cost efficiency, and asset management.
- Participate in and lead the development and implementation of new processes, process improvements, and technical systems to support business goals.
- Offer technical support for new product development initiatives in collaboration with Marketing and Contract Sales teams.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key equipment suppliers to gain a competitive technical advantage.
- Support capital project activities including budgeting, justification, and execution, as well as contribute to the development of financial policies and internal controls.
- Assist the purchasing team by providing equipment specifications, resolving technical issues, and identifying cost-saving opportunities with vendors.
- Maintain clear, timely, and effective communication with team members, leadership, and other stakeholders.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Engineer III: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) with at least 7 years of relevant industry experience, or a minimum of 10 years of applicable experience with less formal education.
- Engineer II: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or equivalent with at least 3 years of experience, or 6 years of relevant experience demonstrating equivalent skills and aptitude.
- Recognized as a technical expert with broad engineering knowledge and experience.
- In-depth understanding of Electrical Codes, including NEC and OSHA standards.
- Proficient in designing and specifying complex PLC, servo, and robotic systems, particularly with Rockwell, Allen-Bradley, and/or Bosch/Rexroth platforms.
- Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, and AutoCAD or equivalent software.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally; must be eligible for a passport.
