Engineering Manager
Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Engineering Manager to lead and oversee engineering operations within our chemical manufacturing facility. This role is critical in driving technical excellence, ensuring regulatory compliance, optimizing plant performance, and leading engineering projects from concept through execution.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in chemical or process engineering, project management, team leadership, and a solid understanding of safety and environmental regulations in the chemical industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage a multidisciplinary engineering team including process, mechanical, electrical, and project engineers.
Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of capital and maintenance projects (CAPEX and OPEX), ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
Collaborate with operations, maintenance, EHS, and quality teams to improve plant reliability, efficiency, and safety.
Develop and implement engineering best practices and standard operating procedures.
Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations (e.g., OSHA, EPA, local regulatory bodies).
Evaluate and implement new technologies, process improvements, and automation initiatives.
Manage budgets, timelines, and resources for all engineering-related activities.
Provide mentorship and development opportunities for engineering staff.
Prepare technical reports, risk assessments, and regulatory documentation as needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related discipline
10+ years of engineering experience in process engineering, leading engineering teams + driving process improvements .
Strong knowledge of process engineering, chemical plant operations, and project management.
Manage multiple projects in a fast pace environment
Proven track record of managing cross-functional teams and complex projects.
Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
Professional Engineer (PE) license or PMP certification is a plus.
