Field Safety Technician
Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Field Safety Technician to join our team in the chemical manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing and enforcing safety protocols and ensuring compliance with all health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations in the field. This role will focus on conducting inspections, training employees, and providing hands-on support to maintain a safe working environment across various operational areas.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct routine safety inspections across the plant and field locations to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
Identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions to mitigate risks, ensuring a safe and healthy workplace.
Assist with the development, implementation, and monitoring of safety programs, policies, and procedures.
Provide on-site safety training and support to plant workers, contractors, and other personnel.
Respond to emergency situations, providing immediate assistance and ensuring safety protocols are followed.
Monitor the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and other safety-related tools to ensure proper utilization.
Assist in incident investigations, analyzing root causes, and documenting findings to prevent future occurrences.
Support regulatory audits and inspections, ensuring documentation is accurate and up to date.
Collaborate with supervisors and management to drive a safety culture across all operational levels.
Maintain accurate safety records, reports, and documentation related to inspections, training, and incidents.
Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. OSHA certifications, safety training, or a related safety qualification is a plus.
Experience:
3+ years of experience in a safety or field technician role within the chemical manufacturing or industrial sector.
Familiarity with chemical safety protocols, hazardous materials handling, and OSHA regulations.
Experience with conducting safety audits, inspections, and training.
