HR Generalist

The HR Generalist supports day‑to‑day human resources operations within a fast‑paced, highly regulated aerospace and defense manufacturing environment. This role helps drive workforce effectiveness by administering HR programs, supporting employee relations, ensuring compliance with federal and defense‑industry requirements, and partnering with leadership to maintain a skilled and engaged workforce.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support recruitment efforts for skilled manufacturing, engineering, and technical roles, including sourcing, interviewing, and coordinating onboarding.
  • Administer HR policies, procedures, and programs that align with aerospace and defense regulatory requirements (e.g., ITAR, EAR, DFARS).
  • Serve as a point of contact for employees on HR-related questions, benefits, performance management, and workplace issues.
  • Support employee relations, investigations, corrective actions, and documentation in partnership with HR leadership.
  • Coordinate training, certification tracking, and development activities essential for aerospace/defense quality and compliance standards.
  • Maintain accurate HRIS records, personnel files, and reporting in compliance with federal, state, and defense‑sector requirements.
  • Assist with compensation and benefits administration, annual reviews, workforce planning, and health & safety initiatives.
  • Contribute to culture-building efforts that promote employee engagement, retention, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 2-5 years of HR experience, preferably in manufacturing or aerospace/defense.
  • Familiarity with ITAR/EAR, DoD compliance standards, and audit readiness is a plus.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, high‑precision production environment.
