Indirect Procurement Manager
The Regional Category Manager - Americas (Indirect Materials) is responsible for leading category management activities for all indirect materials within the region to maximize total cost of ownership savings and procurement value contribution to the organization. This role will oversee regional indirect category management and support global initiatives, including supply market studies, supplier scanning, negotiations, stakeholder engagement, information sharing, reporting, budgeting, and more. Additionally, this position will support SAP Ariba implementation projects and act as the procurement lead for processes and implementation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and strengthen relationships with vendors in alignment with the company's procurement vision, with a focus on strategic suppliers.
- Oversee supplier performance to maximize value delivered by strategic suppliers for selected categories.
- Lead supplier review meetings with senior supplier stakeholders to drive performance and resolve regional issues.
- Utilize supplier KPI scorecards and performance reports to inform review processes.
- Introduce sustainability and innovation capabilities from strategic suppliers into the organization and support development in these areas.
- Assist local procurement teams with claim handling, supplier agreements, and troubleshooting.
- Lead regional budgeting, latest estimates, and price forecasting processes, ensuring quality and timeline compliance.
- Collect and validate data from operating companies with support from global procurement systems teams.
- Deliver category indices for global portfolios with regional input based on market and supplier analysis.
- Provide unit rate inputs for global and regional execution categories and coordinate with global category managers.
- Prepare and present results to stakeholders.
- Support functional budget owners in setting annual budgets.
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, preferably with a procurement specialization.
- Supply chain/procurement certification is a plus.
- 8+ years of professional experience in strategic procurement.
- Proven experience implementing SAP Ariba for procurement processes and user-side implementation.
- Extensive knowledge of procurement processes (Order to Cash, Purchase to Pay, Catalogue Buying Systems, Supplier Marketplaces).
- Broad and deep expertise in indirect procurement categories (e.g., facilities, ICT, MRO, travel, logistics) and supplier base.
- Experience in sustainable sourcing is a plus.
- Ability to quickly build a professional network in new markets.
- Strong project management and negotiation skills.
- Advanced analytical skills, including Excel, data analysis, and report generation.
- Experience in contract and risk management.
- Strong strategic business case development and stakeholder management skills, including presentation and communication at senior management level.
- Understanding of Source-to-Pay processes.
- Bilingual skills; Spanish fluency is a plus.
