Position: Maintenance Manager

Overview:

A leading manufacturer specializing in corrugated packaging and paper converting is seeking a seasoned Maintenance Manager to oversee its maintenance operations. This role is critical to ensuring the reliability and efficiency of equipment and infrastructure that support high-volume, fiber-based production. The successful candidate will bring strong leadership, technical acumen, and a commitment to continuous improvement in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead maintenance operations to support uninterrupted production of corrugated packaging and converted paper products.
  • Develop and execute strategic maintenance plans that align with operational goals and industry best practices.
  • Establish and maintain safety protocols to ensure a secure and compliant work environment.
  • Implement a comprehensive preventive maintenance program to maximize equipment uptime and reliability.
  • Supervise maintenance activities to ensure quality workmanship and the use of modern technologies.
  • Monitor and analyze departmental KPIs to identify performance gaps and drive operational improvements.
  • Collaborate with plant leadership to align maintenance strategies with broader production and business objectives.
  • Support labor relations through collaborative engagement with union representatives.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable safety, health, and environmental regulations.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement within the maintenance team.
  • Mentor and develop staff to achieve high performance and professional growth.
  • Apply sound decision-making and problem-solving skills to resolve technical and operational challenges.

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering (required).
  • Bachelor's degree in a related engineering discipline (preferred).
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in industrial maintenance, including at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Experience in corrugated packaging or paper converting operations is required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with maintenance management systems (e.g., CMMS, PLC/DCS platforms).
