Are you ready to lead the operational backbone of a fast-growing freight forwarding business in Sweden? We're looking for a strategic and hands-on Operations Director to drive service excellence, operational efficiency, and innovation across our logistics network.
This is a pivotal leadership role in a newly established division, offering the chance to shape operations from the ground up and make a lasting impact in one of Europe's key logistics hubs.
Your Impact
As Operations Director, you will:
- Lead and manage freight forwarding operations across Sweden.
- Develop and execute operational strategies aligned with global business goals.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to boost productivity and customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with commercial, finance, and product teams to support growth.
- Monitor KPIs and operational performance, reporting to senior leadership.
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate service contracts.
- Champion digital transformation and automation within operations.
- Act as a key escalation point for operational challenges.
- Foster a culture of safety, quality, and collaboration across teams.
What You Bring
Qualifications:
- Proven success in managing freight forwarding operations.
- Strong leadership and team development skills.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal abilities.
- Strategic thinker with sound decision-making capabilities.
Experience:
- Minimum 10 years in transport, logistics, or freight forwarding.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams and complex logistics networks.
- Deep understanding of compliance and operational best practices.
