We have a current opportunity for a Planning Manager on a permanent basis. The position will be based in Singapore. For further information about this position please apply.

The Planning Manager will guide and develop the planning team, managing daily operations, making strategic decisions, and collaborating across departments to meet delivery, production, and financial objectives, including inventory management. This role involves close cooperation with Production and Material Planners to meet the needs of customers in the Institutional, Food & Beverage, Quick Service Restaurant, Water, Paper, and Energy Services sectors, which are spread across Singapore's diverse market.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate Across Functions: Work with strategic planning, procurement, customer service, and marketing to allocate critical or constrained materials, reduce excess and obsolete materials, and troubleshoot issues leading to DIFOT (Delivery In Full On Time) failures.
  • Set Clear Objectives: Establish and guide the team to ensure alignment with site-specific and broader team goals.
  • Lead Meetings: Facilitate team and cross-functional meetings to evaluate metrics, address challenges, and identify opportunities.
  • Handle Escalations: Manage escalations and complex issues related to production planning, raw material planning, and inventory goals.
  • Make Critical Decisions: Make decisions that impact the efficiency and effectiveness of site planning operations.
  • Drive Projects and Improvements: Lead projects focused on cost savings, process improvement, and supply chain optimization. Identify opportunities for streamlining processes, reducing waste, and enhancing overall supply chain performance.
  • Employ Problem-Solving Techniques: Use techniques such as the 5 Whys and root cause analysis to tackle challenges and implement process improvements for long-term success.
  • Develop and Mentor Team Members: Provide guidance, training, and support to foster talent and skill development within the team.
  • Conduct Performance Evaluations: Perform evaluations and provide constructive feedback to enhance individual and team performance.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Supply Chain Management or related field.
  • 2+ years in FMCG/Chemical or 5+ years in manufacturing.
  • Strong leadership and process-driven mentality.
  • Proficient in MS Excel and planning tools.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.
  • Skilled in people development and problem-solving.
  • Focused on continuous improvement.
