Salary: $150,000 - $165,000
Location: Coastal Southern California (Onsite)

A leading industrial manufacturer in the packaging and paper products industry is seeking a Plant Electrical Engineer to support the reliability, maintenance, and continuous improvement of critical electrical infrastructure within a large-scale manufacturing operation. This facility operates complex power distribution systems and utility assets that support around-the-clock production, offering the opportunity to work on a wide range of electrical reliability, maintenance, and capital improvement initiatives. The Plant Electrical Engineer will be responsible for:
* Power Distribution Reliability - Support the safe and reliable operation of plant electrical infrastructure including substations, switchgear, transformers, and power distribution systems.
* Electrical Troubleshooting - Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis efforts to identify and resolve equipment failures and recurring electrical issues.
* Motor Controls & Drives - Serve as a technical resource for Motor Control Centers (MCCs), Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), and related motor systems.
* Capital Projects - Support electrical capital projects including infrastructure upgrades, equipment replacements, outage planning, and project execution.
* Preventive & Predictive Maintenance - Develop and improve maintenance practices aimed at increasing reliability and reducing unplanned downtime.
* Continuous Improvement - Identify opportunities to improve electrical system performance, safety, reliability, and overall plant efficiency.
* Cross-Functional Leadership - Partner with operations, maintenance, vendors, and contractors to support plant objectives and critical initiatives.
The Plant Electrical Engineer should have the following qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
* 10+ years of electrical engineering experience within an industrial manufacturing environment.
* Experience supporting medium and/or high-voltage power distribution systems.
* Hands-on experience with substations, switchgear, transformers, MCCs, and VFDs.
* Strong troubleshooting, reliability, and root cause analysis experience.
* Experience planning and executing electrical capital projects preferred.
* Background in pulp & paper, packaging, paper manufacturing, or other heavy industrial manufacturing environments strongly preferred.
* Ability to support a 24/7 manufacturing operation when required.
