Compensation: $175,000-$200,000 Base Salary + Comprehensive Benefits
Overview
Our client, a leading manufacturer within the building products industry, is seeking an experienced Plant Manager to lead operations at a high-volume manufacturing facility. This individual will be responsible for overall plant performance, including safety, quality, productivity, maintenance, employee engagement, and continuous improvement initiatives.
This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact by driving operational excellence, developing high-performing teams, and implementing strategic initiatives that improve business results.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and direction for all plant operations, ensuring achievement of safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives.
- Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, employee development, and operational excellence.
- Develop and monitor key performance metrics to ensure operational goals are achieved.
- Partner with department leaders to improve production efficiency, equipment reliability, and overall plant performance.
- Lead capital improvement projects, including planning, budgeting, implementation, and return-on-investment analysis.
- Drive structured problem-solving efforts and sustainable corrective actions to resolve operational challenges.
- Support and enhance preventive and predictive maintenance strategies to maximize equipment uptime.
- Promote Lean manufacturing principles through initiatives such as 5S, visual management, standard work, and continuous improvement programs.
- Ensure compliance with all environmental, health, and safety regulations while maintaining a strong safety-first culture.
- Build organizational capability through training, coaching, and talent development.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required; Engineering or a related technical discipline preferred.
- 10+ years of manufacturing experience with increasing levels of responsibility.
- Previous leadership experience overseeing large manufacturing operations.
- Strong background in Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Experience driving operational performance improvements across safety, quality, productivity, and cost metrics.
- Working knowledge of tools such as Six Sigma, Kaizen, 5S, root cause analysis, preventive maintenance systems, and quality management systems.
- Ability to analyze operational and financial performance and make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
