Procurement Manager - Components / Parts
Our client is a global technology group within power electronics / EMS OEM manufacturer with global operation across the globe. Due to business expansion, they are seeking talents to join their newly set-up sourcing team in purchasing and procurement function.
Job Description
- Reduce Parent Company's electronic component costs and supply chain risks
- Manage the procurement process from start to finish, including identifying potential suppliers
- Search for alternatives to currently used electronic components
- Search for alternative components or alternative sources for electronic components that have been discontinued or have different procurement problems
- Monitor and evaluate supplier / subcontractor performance to ensure compliance with quality, cost, and service standards
- Work closely with different departments, especially with Design, Production, Project Management and Procurement units
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and policies related to procurement
- Prepare reports and presentations regarding sourcing and procurement activities
Who are we looking for?
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (esp. Electronics Engineering), Supply Chain, Procurement, Sales & Marketing, or a related field
- At least 8-10 years of sourcing experience, especially electronic components sourcing
- Able to read, understand and interpret technical documents & data sheets of electronic components
- Market knowledge and technical background in at least one or preferably more of the following product groups
- Active electronic components (analogue and/or digital), Passive electronic components, RF and microwave components
- Power supplies and converters, Connectors, cables and harness accessories, Electromechanical components
- Dynamic, self-motivated, and highly organised professional with excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
- Capable of handling multiple responsibilities efficiently and delivering results within deadlines
- Ready and willing to travel regularly for factory inspection, fairs, and business events
- Fluency in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese is a must
