Job Title: Production Planner (m/w/d)
Location: Germany - Multiple Plant Locations

Company Overview:
A leading industrial manufacturer operating across multiple sites in Germany, specialising in precision production and high-quality solutions for industries such as automotive, rail, aerospace, and construction.

Role Overview:
As a Production Planner, you will take ownership of short- and medium-term production planning, ensuring alignment with customer demands, delivery timelines, and inventory targets. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams, contribute to digitalisation initiatives, and continuously optimise the production planning process within a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Independently manage short-term (detailed scheduling) and medium-term (master planning) production planning for designated production areas

  • Align customer demands with master plans, monitoring and addressing fluctuations in real time

  • Collaborate with production teams to ensure effective capacity and resource planning based on input from sales and customer service

  • Maintain accurate production order control and ensure high-quality movement data within the ERP system

  • Determine material and packaging requirements, working closely with procurement and following product-specific regulations

  • Coordinate with subcontractors as integrated partners in the value chain

  • Communicate daily with production, procurement, shipping, customer service, and external stakeholders to resolve issues proactively

  • Review and maintain planning parameters and master data in the ERP system, including lead times, batch sizes, bills of materials, and routings

  • Participate in and potentially lead digitalisation and optimisation projects across locations

Qualifications:

  • Completed apprenticeship as an industrial clerk with additional qualifications, or a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Business Administration with a logistics focus

  • Several years of experience in production planning and/or logistics

  • Industry experience in aluminum, automotive, rail, construction, or aerospace preferred

  • Strong technical and business process understanding

  • High level of commitment, resilience, and adaptability

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Proficient in ERP systems (ideally ProAlpha) and experienced with MS Office, especially Excel and Word

  • Fluent in German; English skills are an advantage
