Company Profile: A leading building materials/design organization is looking to add a Purchasing Manager to their team. This person will play a critical role in the Procurement division, and will be responsible for driving sourcing strategies, optimizing the end-to-end supply chain, and cultivating strong supplier partnerships. The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced environments as well as demonstrates exceptional analytical and negotiation skills.
The Purchasing Manager will Be Responsible For the Following:
- Build and maintain strong, strategic relationships with global vendors and factories
- Negotiating pricing, terms, and contracts to maximize value while ensuring quality and compliance
- Oversee the full procurement lifecycle, including production timelines, international logistics, customs clearance, and warehouse delivery
- Place and manage purchase orders, and adjust flow as needed based on real-time business needs
- Ensure all procurement activities comply with import/export regulations and internal controls
- Identify and pursue new sourcing opportunities that align with the company's strategic objective
The Purchasing Manager Should Have the Following Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree
- 5+ years experience in procurement, supply chain, or product management roles
- Strong quantitative, analytical, and project management skills
- Ability to prioritize effectively, manage complexity, and deliver under tight deadlines
- Familiarity with international sourcing, freight logistics, and vendor compliance
- Master's Degree preferred
