Quality Assurance Engineer

Quality Engineer required for leading semiconductor manufacturer

  • $80,000-$95,000 per year

The Quality Engineer will have the following responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customer quality matters, working directly with customers to investigate concerns, perform root cause analysis, and implement effective corrective and preventive actions
  • Coordinate the return, analysis, and disposition of nonconforming products, collaborating closely with customers, production, and engineering teams to drive improvements
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective action activities related to customer feedback, complaints, and quality issues
  • Work closely with manufacturing and engineering teams to ensure ISO 9001 and customer quality requirements are understood and consistently met throughout the production process
  • Develop, track, and communicate quality metrics related to customer performance, trends, and improvement initiatives
  • Perform product, process, and internal audits to verify compliance with ISO 9001, customer requirements, and internal quality systems
  • Collect and analyze customer input to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and enhanced customer satisfaction
  • Actively learn and stay current on quality standards, industry best practices, and customer quality expectations
  • Work in both office and clean room environments with regular presence in manufacturing areas, including exposure to noise, fumes, chemicals, and computer-based work

The ideal Quality Engineer candidate will have the following skillset:

  • 1+ years of experience in a quality engineering, customer quality, or related role, or equivalent hands-on experience
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, quality assurance, or a related technical field
  • Experience working directly with customers on quality issues and corrective actions
  • Working knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management systems is required; internal audit experience is a plus
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Familiarity with Six Sigma and Lean manufacturing principles
  • Exposure to APQP, PPAP, DFMEA, PFMEA, and control plans is a plus but not required
  • General understanding of quality assurance concepts, tools, and methodologies
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a willingness to ask questions and learn
  • Clear, professional communication and collaboration skills
  • A proactive, humble, and curious mindset with a strong desire to grow, learn, and continuously improve
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
