Senior Category Manager - IT
Our Client is seeking a dynamic and experienced procurement professional to lead strategic sourcing initiatives within the Information, Communication & Technology (ICT) category. This role is pivotal in shaping and executing enterprise-wide procurement strategies that drive value, efficiency, and innovation across global operations. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing ICT-related spend, fostering stakeholder alignment, and building high-impact supplier partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a robust ICT category strategy that leverages best-in-class sourcing practices and innovative procurement levers. 
- Gain a comprehensive understanding of ICT spend across the enterprise, with emphasis on Procure-to-Sell and Procure-to-Consume models. 
- Partner with diverse business units to assess procurement needs, identify synergies, and uncover opportunities for spend aggregation. 
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to tailor sourcing strategies that align with business objectives and future requirements. 
- Lead complex negotiations with strategic suppliers to secure optimal terms, quality, and pricing while delivering measurable cost savings. 
- Cultivate and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure consistent performance and service delivery. 
- Apply advanced data analytics to uncover global cost-saving opportunities and influence enterprise-wide value creation. 
- Work closely with procurement business partners to implement sourcing strategies and drive value-added initiatives. 
Key Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Commerce, Supply Chain, or Business Administration from a recognized institution. 
- Minimum of 8 years' experience in procurement, with at least 5 years in strategic sourcing and category management. 
- Proven track record in designing and executing procurement strategies across regional and global landscapes. 
- Demonstrated success in supplier negotiations, relationship management, and contract execution across multiple business domains. 
- Strong business acumen with excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills. 
- Collaborative team player with the ability to engage cross-functional stakeholders and balance strategic vision with operational execution.
