Job Title: Senior Project Manager Logistics
Department: Distribution & Transportation (D&T)
Location:
- USA (Salt Lake City, Utah) or Canada (Toronto, Ontario) or REMOTE
- Mainly remote/home office
- Travel required: 25-35% annually for onsite project work
Scope & Communication:
- Coverage Area: Primarily North America, with potential involvement in global projects
- Internal Communication:
- HQ teams (Finance, Legal, IT/SAP, Procurement, Customs)
- Distribution Centers / Warehouses
- Supply Chain & Brand Teams (Sales, Finance, Customer Service)
- External Communication:
- 3PL partners (warehouse & transportation)
- Equipment suppliers
- Consulting companies
- Purpose: Information exchange, negotiation, project steering, training, decision support
General Purpose:
Lead logistics automation projects ($10M-$50M scale) to:
- Enable growth
- Drive warehouse strategy and automation
- Improve speed to customer
- Support D2C transformation
- Optimize cost and service quality
- Enhance processes and IT system integration
- Manage project budgets, risks, KPIs, and stakeholder alignment
Main Responsibilities:
- Oversee multiple projects simultaneously
- Own project concept, business case, and scope
- Develop project charter, master plan, risk mitigation, and team setup
- Lead steering committees with senior management
- Manage resources: people, budget, IT tools, data analysis
- Drive system/process improvements and IT integrations
- Lead UAT for automation and SAP integration
- Monitor project performance (cost, timing, scope, risks)
- Support operating budget development
- Ensure change management and stakeholder alignment
- Evaluate post-Go-Live success and propose improvements
- Manage external consultants
- Potential global project involvement (Europe, Asia)
Qualifications & Skills:
Technical Skills:
- Strong project management experience
- Deep knowledge of SCM, logistics, warehouse operations, IT/SAP integration
- Fluent English (verbal & written); French or German is a plus
- Data analysis and process optimization skills
- Proficiency in SAP (ECC, S/4, EWM), MS Office, Power BI, Visio
- Lean management & continuous improvement (preferred)
- Project Management Certification (e.g., PMI) is a plus

- Effective time/stress management and prioritization
- Ability to lead and work with diverse, intercultural teams
- Willingness to travel
Experience & Education:
- 10+ years in project management (preferably logistics/warehousing/transportation)
- Experience with IT projects (SAP ECC, S/4, EWM)
- Familiarity with 3PL providers and contract logistics
- Real estate project experience is a plus
- Master's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Engineering (or equivalent experience)
