Supply Chain & Logistics Manager
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Supply Chain & Logistics Manager to oversee warehousing, transportation, and distribution activities across Europe. This role will lead all operational interactions with 3PL partners, ensuring high service levels, cost efficiency, and continuous improvement across our outbound supply chain.
Key Responsibilities
3PL Warehousing & Distribution Management
- Manage relationships and daily performance of a 3PL warehouse and transportation partners across Europe.
- Ensure optimal operational performance, including inventory accuracy, OTIF delivery, picking efficiency, and customer service KPI adherence.
- Lead quarterly business reviews with logistics providers to drive improvements and resolve escalations.
- Oversee warehouse capacity planning, storage optimisation, and outbound volume forecasting.
Supply Chain Operations
- Ensure smooth end‑to‑end product flow from warehouses to final customers.
- Collaborate with production, planning, procurement, and customer service teams to ensure delivery commitments are met.
- Monitor and improve lead times, throughput, and distribution cost structures.
Logistics Strategy & Continuous Improvement
- Develop and implement logistics strategies that align with European and global supply chain objectives.
- Identify opportunities to streamline distribution networks, consolidate lanes, or optimise 3PL set‑ups.
- Drive automation, digital tools, and process efficiency projects.
Performance & Compliance
- Own and report logistics KPIs (OTIF, cost per shipment, inventory accuracy, claims rate, etc.).
- Ensure compliance with regional regulatory requirements including customs, transport safety, and environmental standards.
- Manage logistics budgets, forecasts, and cost‑tracking initiatives.
Stakeholder & Vendor Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for logistics‑related escalations from internal teams and external customers.
- Negotiate service agreements and commercial terms with logistics partners.
- Support customer meetings related to distribution topics when required.
Qualifications & Experience
- 5-10+ years' experience in supply chain or logistics roles within manufacturing, FMCG, chemicals, or industrial sectors.
- Strong background in 3PL warehousing management, distribution operations, and European logistics networks.
- Solid understanding of transportation modes (road, parcel, LTL/FTL, cross-border movements).
- Experience working with ERP/WMS/TMS systems (SAP / Oracle / Dynamics is a plus).
- Proven track record of driving operational improvements and cost optimisation.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate cross‑functionally.
- Fluent in English; Dutch is an advantage.
