Supply Chain Planner
We are currently partnering with a growing organization in the Calhoun, GA area to identify a Supply Chain Planner. This individual will play a key role in strengthening demand forecasting accuracy and ensuring alignment across customer demand, inventory levels, and supplier execution. The position focuses on analyzing trends, maintaining high service levels, and enabling data-driven decisions throughout the supply chain.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and manage demand forecasts for major accounts, tracking product availability and recommending allocation strategies when supply is limited
- Evaluate inventory and service performance metrics (such as stock availability, service levels, and inventory coverage) to highlight risks and guide replenishment decisions
- Coordinate inbound logistics planning, including shipment scheduling, supplier load planning, and timing adjustments based on business priorities
- Collaborate with suppliers by sharing forward-looking demand projections to support production planning and procurement alignment
- Investigate and address root causes of stock shortages, excess inventory, and service disruptions through data analysis
- Develop and enhance reporting tools and dashboards to improve visibility into supply chain performance and support decision-making
- Contribute to S&OP/SIOP processes by preparing data, providing insights, and helping establish priorities during constrained supply situations
- Continuously refine planning processes, improve supplier performance, and enhance data integrity to drive overall efficiency
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related discipline
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in demand planning, inventory management, or a related supply chain function
- Demonstrated ability to leverage data and analytics to support business decisions
Preferred:
- Experience leading projects or process improvement initiatives
- Exposure to APICS/IBP certifications or Six Sigma methodologies
Technical Skills
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Strong ability to quickly learn new systems, tools, and datasets
- Experience with data visualization platforms such as Power BI or Tableau is highly desirable
- Solid understanding of business and financial concepts
