Asset Manager - Performance Products Division
A leading specialty chemical company is seeking a strategic and results-driven Asset Manager to support its Performance Products Division. This role is focused on maximizing asset productivity and profitability by aligning operational decisions with both short-term opportunities and long-term business goals.
Key Responsibilities
Asset Strategy & Portfolio Management
- Optimize product mix to drive profitability
- Streamline low-performing products
- Allocate regional volumes for optimal asset value
- Manage working capital levels effectively
- Develop a long-term product road map aligned with strategic priorities
Manufacturing Support
- Define customer-focused quality standards
- Identify and support cost and flexibility improvement initiatives
Commercial Strategy
- Provide guidance on volume planning (base vs. swing)
- Explore and execute alternative revenue opportunities such as swaps, tolling, and co-production
Cost Optimization
- Develop strategies for third-party site relationships
- Strengthen raw material sourcing through supplier diversification
- Define raw material procurement strategy
Technical Leadership
- Lead cross-regional product launches
- Conduct economic evaluations for new or modified production lines
- Facilitate technology transfer from R&D to full-scale production
- Contribute to product development prioritization
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering, technical field, or business; advanced degrees or certifications are a plus
- Must have prior experience in the chemicals industry
- At least 5 years of experience in commercial, marketing, or product management roles
- Strong understanding of relevant technologies and applications
- Proven commercial insight, cost-conscious mindset, and customer-centric approach
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to remain professional under pressure and handle sensitive information discreetly
