Job Title: Automation Engineer
DSJ Global is partnered with a leading pharmaceutical manufacturer seeking a Automation Engineer to support and advance site-wide automation initiatives. This individual will serve as a key technical resource for manufacturing control systems while leading automation projects that improve reliability, compliance, and operational performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead automation projects from design and implementation through commissioning and validation
- Develop, maintain, and optimize PLC, SCADA, HMI, and instrumentation systems
- Troubleshoot automation and controls issues to ensure reliable manufacturing operations
- Partner with Production, Engineering, Quality, and Maintenance teams to deliver automation solutions
- Support system lifecycle activities including upgrades, change controls, preventative maintenance, and documentation
- Ensure compliance with GMP, validation, and regulatory requirements
- Provide training and technical guidance on automation technologies and best practices
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Automation, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- 5+ years of automation experience within a regulated manufacturing environment
- Hands-on experience with PLCs, SCADA, instrumentation, and industrial control systems
- Familiarity with computerized system validation, GMP requirements, and automation project execution
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and continuous improvement skills
