About the Role

The Bond Manager role is ideal for a freight forwarding professional with deep exposure to U.S. customs, bonds, and trade compliance who is ready to step into a leadership position. This role sits at the intersection of compliance, operations, and commercial support, providing subject matter expertise across customs bond matters while guiding teams and partnering with sales, operations, and key customers. It offers the opportunity to influence how bond compliance is managed across a multi-location forwarding environment while supporting growth and service reliability.

Job Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in freight forwarding, customs brokerage, trade compliance, or bond management
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. customs bond regulations and other government agency requirements
  • Experience advising clients and internal teams on complex customs and compliance matters
  • Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop compliance or trade services professionals
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally with sales, operations, and senior leadership
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including client-facing guidance

Job Expectations

  • Oversee bond compliance activities within a freight forwarding environment
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on customs bonds for internal teams and customers
  • Resolve complex bond and customs compliance issues through research and interpretation
  • Partner with sales and commercial teams on RFQs, bids, and customer solutions
  • Coordinate with multiple branch and regional offices to ensure consistent compliance
  • Support growth initiatives by strengthening compliance processes and customer confidence
