About the Role
A well-established international logistics service provider is seeking a Branch Manager Air & Ocean to take full responsibility for its air and sea freight operations in Fulda. This role combines strategic, commercial, and operational leadership, with a strong focus on growth, profitability, and team development.
Key Responsibilities
- Full P&L responsibility for the Air & Ocean freight branch
- Strategic development and expansion of air and sea freight business
- Leadership, motivation, and continuous development of the Air & Ocean team
- Acquisition, development, and retention of key customers and strategic accounts
- Management of relationships with airlines, shipping lines, agents, and partners
- Ensuring compliance with customs regulations, quality standards, and internal KPIs
- Close collaboration with national and international branch network
- Optimization of operational processes and cost efficiency
- Representation of the branch towards customers, partners, and internal stakeholders
Your Profile
- Completed commercial training or degree in logistics, freight forwarding, or a related field
- Several years of experience in Air & Ocean Freight, ideally with leadership or branch management responsibility
- Strong commercial understanding, including sales and P&L management
- In-depth knowledge of air and sea freight operations and international trade regulations
- Entrepreneurial mindset with hands-on leadership style
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Business-fluent German and English
- Confident use of forwarding systems and MS Office
