A rapidly growing, venture‑backed startup in the electric‑vehicle conversion space is seeking a Senior Buyer to lead sourcing for all parts used in building its vehicles.

Key Responsibilities

• Source, research, and select quality products and materials.
• Develop new suppliers and maintain strong vendor relationships.
• Negotiate pricing and manage purchase orders from quote to delivery.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with engineering, production, materials, quality, and finance.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and ensure appropriate stock levels.
• Track shipments, expedite orders, and mitigate shortages or potential line‑stoppages.
• Monitor supplier performance and initiate corrective actions when needed.
• Evaluate quality of incoming materials and resolve discrepancies.
• Analyze market trends and use insights to make strategic buying decisions.
• Support procurement of sheet metal, electronics, tools, parts, and other production‑related materials.
• Handle both strategic planning and tactical purchasing in a hands‑on environment.

Minimum Qualifications

• 5+ years of procurement and/or planning experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with quality requirements and manufacturing processes.
• Strong communication, problem‑solving, and interpersonal skills; ability to work independently.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced setting.
• Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, and a major ERP system.
• Flexible, adaptable, and open to change.
