Location: Charlotte, NC Salary Range: $65,000-$75,000 (flexible for exceptional experience) Work Model: Hybrid (1-2 days/week onsite after proficiency)

Overview

We are seeking a highly organized and analytical Buyer / Planner to support our supply chain, purchasing, and production planning functions. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a manufacturing environment, enjoys working with data, and can independently manage multiple priorities with a strong sense of urgency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage purchasing activities, including supplier communication, order placement, and delivery follow‑up.

  • Plan and schedule production materials using SAP (PP, MM, SD modules).

  • Maintain accurate inventory levels and support demand planning.

  • Coordinate customer order management activities to ensure on‑time delivery.

  • Analyze data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for process improvement.

  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with operations, logistics, and finance teams.

  • Prepare reports and maintain documentation with a high level of accuracy.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within supply chain and production planning.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in supply chain, purchasing, or customer order management.

  • Minimum 3 years of hands‑on SAP experience (PP, MM, SD modules required).

  • Manufacturing industry experience is required.

    • Please note: candidates from healthcare, retail, finance, education, or utilities will not be considered.

  • Bachelor's degree preferred; associate degree (2‑year) minimum.

  • Strong analytical skills and comfort working with numbers and data.

  • Proficiency with computers; Excel skills (basic to intermediate) strongly preferred.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Highly organized, structured, and able to manage multiple priorities.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and think critically.

  • Strong business judgment and problem‑solving skills.

  • Sense of urgency and ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.

Preferred Attributes

  • Experience with production planning, MRP, or inventory optimization.

  • Proven ability to build strong relationships with suppliers and internal teams.

  • Continuous improvement mindset.
