About the Role

We are seeking a strategic and experienced Category Manager to join our U.S. Indirect Procurement Center of Excellence, supporting multiple manufacturing sites. This role is pivotal in driving procurement transformation, managing key indirect categories-including MRO and CapEx-and supporting change management initiatives as part of a broader leadership transition.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead category strategy and sourcing execution for indirect spend areas, with a focus on MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Operations) and Capital Expenditures (CapEx).
  • Partner with manufacturing site leaders and cross-functional teams to understand operational needs and deliver cost-effective, value-driven sourcing solutions.
  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies that align with business goals, drive savings, and improve supplier performance.
  • Manage supplier relationships, lead negotiations, and oversee contract lifecycle management to ensure compliance and value delivery.
  • Support the transformation of the procurement function by contributing to the development of best practices, tools, and processes within the Category Management Center of Excellence.
  • Drive change management efforts to align stakeholders and embed category management principles across the organization.
  • Analyze spend data, market trends, and supplier performance to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and innovation.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in procurement or category management, with a strong focus on indirect categories, MRO, and CapEx.
  • Proven success in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in change management and influencing senior leadership.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and procurement tools.
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., PowerBI, Tableau) is a plus.
