A global digital retail leader is expanding its footprint in Europe - and we're looking for someone special to lead one of its most exciting new categories: Local Dutch Food.

This is an opportunity to shape how traditional favourites, regional brands, and modern Dutch staples are showcased to millions of customers.


We're looking for someone who doesn't just work in food category management - but lives and breathes Dutch food culture.You'll know what ends up in a school lunchbox, what locals grab from the bakery on a Saturday, and which snacks every Dutch family keeps in their pantry.



What You'll Do:

  • Own and develop the local food category strategy end-to-end - from supplier partnerships and assortment selection to pricing and promotions.
  • Identify and onboard authentic Dutch brands and producers that resonate with both local and international audiences.
  • Combine commercial strategy with cultural insight to grow a distinctive, high-performing category.
  • Work closely with global teams to ensure the local food story is told authentically and at scale.
  • Monitor category performance and customer feedback, using insights to refine assortment, improve supplier terms, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Champion innovation within the category, exploring new formats, seasonal launches, and cross-category collaborations to keep the offer fresh and exciting.


What We're Looking For:

  • Experience in food category management, buying, or commercial roles within retail/e-commerce.
  • Deep understanding of Dutch food culture, consumer habits, and local supply chains.
  • A strategic, entrepreneurial mindset - someone who can build from scratch, not just follow a playbook.
  • Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills
