This is a fantastic opportunity for a procurement professional with strong supplier management experience to join a dynamic team and make a tangible impact on service delivery and commercial performance.

The Role

As Category Manager, you'll be responsible for overseeing supplier relationships across the UK & Ireland, focusing on both planned and reactive maintenance services within a key client contract. You'll play a pivotal role in developing and executing procurement strategies that drive value, ensure compliance, and support operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead supplier audits to ensure compliance with health & safety and other regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with clients to set annual budgets and align procurement activities accordingly
  • Serve as an escalation point for supplier-related issues and performance concerns
  • Ensure contract charges are accurate and reflect services delivered
  • Work closely with finance and procurement teams to monitor spend, identify variances, and support budget planning
  • Deliver in-contract savings and contribute positively to the company's P&L
  • While this role has no direct reports, you'll work cross-functionally with internal teams, client stakeholders, and field operations to ensure seamless service delivery and procurement alignment

Key requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in procurement or supplier management
  • CIPS qualification (or equivalent)
  • Strong commercial acumen and supplier relationship management skills
