Job Title: Category Manager - Plastics

Location: United States (Remote with Travel)

Compensation: $130,000-$150,000

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Global Category Manager to lead sourcing strategies for plastics and resin materials used in manufacturing. This role will focus on supplier management, cost optimization, and ensuring material availability for production needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute category strategies for plastics and resin materials.
  • Identify, qualify, and manage suppliers to ensure quality, cost, and delivery targets.
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements to achieve cost savings and mitigate risk.
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality, and operations teams to support new product development and ongoing production.
  • Monitor market trends and material cost drivers to inform sourcing decisions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or category management, preferably in manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of plastics, resins, and related manufacturing processes (e.g., injection molding).
  • Excellent negotiation, analytical, and supplier relationship management skills.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and procurement tools.
