We are working with a global Contract Logistics Provider currently looking for strong an experienced operations managers to step in to a Site to be able to manage people and operations.

Responsibilities

  • Take responsibility: You manage and optimize all operational processes with the goal of 100% customer satisfaction.

  • Team leadership with vision: You will lead and develop your warehouse team (m/f/d) both technically and disciplinarily, coordinate personnel deployment and take care of personnel requirement notifications and orders from service providers.

  • Customer contact at eye level: As the central point of contact (POC) for the customer, you ensure compliance with and continuous improvement of quality and performance indicators.

  • Ensure efficiency: You control, monitor and optimize operational processes and ensure compliance with all legal and internal occupational health and safety guidelines.

  • Promote further development: You ensure a structured induction of new employees and support them with targeted training and development measures.

  • Employee reviews & coaching: You support your team through regular feedback sessions and promote individual development.

  • Show responsibility: You represent the site manager and take over the planning and approval of vacations for your team.

Skills

  • Professional experience & leadership skills: Several years of experience in contract logistics and in managing larger teams (approx. 200 employees) in a comparable position.

  • Operational expertise: In-depth knowledge of operational logistics and experience with QSHE methods such as Lean Management, Kaizen and Six Sigma.

  • Language skills: Fluent German and English skills.

  • Project Management & Soft Skills: Initial experience in project management is an advantage. You demonstrate strong communication skills, interpersonal skills, and leadership qualities.

  • Personal strengths: Assertiveness, analytical and problem-solving mindset, innovative strength and an affinity for numbers.

  • Dynamism & hands-on mentality: You respond flexibly to new business challenges, take on responsibility and enjoy working in a team.
