Overview
A Fortune 500 manufacturing company is searching to add a Controls Engineer III to its team! For over 150 years, this company has contributed immensely to the industries including Aerospace, Consumer Electronics and Life Sciences. Given their rapid growth and success over the past years, they are looking to onboard a talented Senior Controls Engineer to lead technical initiatives that enhance manufacturing performance, drive innovation, and support new product development. This role focuses on optimizing equipment, processes, and materials to improve cost, quality, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead troubleshooting and resolution of complex equipment and process issues.
- Mentor junior engineers and guide maintenance teams.
- Manage engineering projects from concept to implementation.
- Drive cost reduction, capacity expansion, and process improvements.
- Develop and document technical solutions that contribute to IP.
- Apply statistical tools and experimental design to improve performance.
- Support new technology and product introductions.
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards.
- Track project impact using metrics like uptime, cost, and productivity.
- Design or modify equipment to enhance operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering - or equivalent
- Experience in manufacturing
- Proven project leadership and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with Lean principles and Yellow Belt training
