Customs Manager
Are you an experienced customs professional ready to take ownership of compliance and process optimisation for international trade? We're partnering with a leading global logistics provider seeking a Customs Manager to strengthen its operations in the Netherlands from Amsterdam.
What You'll Do:
- Lead Import/Export Compliance: Ensure all goods move in line with European and international customs regulations.
- Drive Accuracy: Oversee classification, valuation, and tax handling for customs declarations.
- Own Documentation: Manage invoices, packing lists, transport documents, and customs records.
- Mitigate Risk: Identify and address customs-related risks and supply chain disruptions.
- Collaborate Across the Chain: Work closely with suppliers, logistics partners, customs agents, and internal teams.
- Coach & Develop: Train colleagues on customs regulations and best practices.
- Improve Continuously: Review and optimise processes for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
What We're Looking For:
- Degree in International Trade, Logistics, or related field.
- Solid experience in customs management and compliance.
- Strong knowledge of EU and global trade regulations.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Analytical mindset with proven problem-solving ability.
- Fluent in English; additional European languages are a plus.
- Someone who thrives on being in an office envirnment and wants to spend there time amongst colleagues.
