EHS Field Technician
Job Description:
We are seeking a proactive and safety-focused Field Safety Technician to support health, safety, and environmental (HSE) initiatives at our chemical manufacturing facility. This role plays a key part in ensuring compliance with safety regulations, conducting field inspections, and promoting a strong safety culture across all operational areas. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in industrial safety, particularly within chemical or hazardous material environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct routine safety inspections, audits, and hazard assessments in the field
Monitor compliance with OSHA, EPA, and site-specific safety standards and procedures
Support incident investigations and assist in implementing corrective actions
Deliver safety training and toolbox talks to employees and contractors
Maintain safety documentation, permits, and safety equipment inventories
Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to ensure safe work practices
Qualifications:
Associate degree or certification in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, or related field; bachelor's degree preferred
2-4 years of safety experience in chemical or industrial manufacturing environments
Strong knowledge of OSHA standards, chemical handling, and PPE requirements
Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
Familiarity with safety management systems and field data reporting tools
