About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced and proactive EHS Manager to lead our safety and environmental programs at our chemical manufacturing facility. This role is essential in fostering a culture of safety, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving continuous improvement in all aspects of environmental, health, and safety performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage all EHS programs specific to chemical manufacturing operations, including hazardous materials handling, process safety, and waste management.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, and state/local environmental and safety regulations.
  • Lead Process Safety Management (PSM) and Risk Management Plan (RMP) initiatives.
  • Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and incident investigations; implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and deliver training programs on chemical safety, emergency response, PPE, and safe work practices.
  • Maintain and report EHS metrics, including emissions, waste, injury rates, and near misses.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with regulatory agencies and lead site preparedness for inspections and audits.
  • Collaborate with operations, engineering, and maintenance teams to integrate EHS into daily plant activities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, or a related field (Master's preferred).
  • 5+ years of EHS experience in a chemical manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA PSM, RCRA, TSCA, REACH, and other chemical safety regulations.
  • Experience with industrial hygiene, air and water permitting, and hazardous waste management.
  • CSP, CIH, or CHMM certification preferred.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
