Electrical Controls Engineer
Seeking a skilled Electrical Controls Engineer to support high-speed manufacturing operations. This role focuses on automation, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of electrical systems to enhance production efficiency and reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and optimize PLCs, HMIs, drives, and instrumentation
- Analyze data to identify and implement impactful process improvements
- Design and update electrical layouts and documentation using CAD tools
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, and maintenance teams
- Lead automation and controls projects from concept through commissioning
- Mentor plant personnel and support training initiatives
- Stay current with emerging technologies and lead adoption efforts
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electro-Mechanical, or Controls Engineering
- Minimum 3 years of experience in industrial automation
- Proficient in Siemens PLC programming, HMI development (Aveva), and motion control systems
- Strong understanding of electrical distribution and NEC standards
- Skilled in AutoCAD Electrical and Microsoft Office
- Effective communicator with strong project management skills
Preferred Experience:
- Field service or technician background
- Integration of third-party systems and devices
- Familiarity with Wonderware, Archestra, AI/ML in manufacturing, PID tuning, and IIoT devices
- Experience in roofing or web-based manufacturing processes
- Machine vision system implementation
