Position Overview

We are seeking a hands‑on Electrical Maintenance Planner to support and optimize maintenance activities on the shop floor. This role focuses on the planning, coordination, and continuous improvement of electrical maintenance tasks in a hardware‑focused production environment.


This is not a project‑based job, it is a plant‑focused operational role, ideal for candidates who enjoy being physically present on the shop floor, supporting equipment reliability through structured maintenance planning.


Key Responsibilities

Maintenance Planning & Coordination

  • Develop, schedule, and optimize preventive and corrective maintenance plans for electrical systems and equipment.
  • Coordinate with maintenance technicians, production teams, and external service providers to execute maintenance tasks efficiently.
  • Ensure accurate work orders, spare parts readiness, and documentation within the maintenance management system (CMMS).

Technical Focus

  • Support maintenance on industrial electrical hardware, including motors, drives, wiring, control panels, MCCs, sensors, and power distribution components.
  • Prepare task plans, documentation, and materials to support troubleshooting and repair work.
  • Identify recurring electrical issues and implement improvements in maintenance routines.

Compliance & Documentation

  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain up‑to‑date electrical schematics, documentation, and maintenance logs.

Continuous Improvement

  • Analyse equipment performance and suggest reliability improvements.
  • Contribute to root‑cause analyses and preventive actions for electrical failures.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production to enhance equipment uptime.

Qualifications & Experience

Required

  • Hands‑on experience in electrical maintenance within an industrial environment.
  • Strong understanding of hardware‑based electrical systems and industrial equipment.
  • Experience with maintenance planning, scheduling, or CMMS systems.
  • Comfortable working directly on the shop floor in a manufacturing setting.

Preferred

  • Electrical education or qualification (e.g., Elektroniker, Mechatronics Technician with electrical focus, or equivalent).
  • Experience in processing industries, such as:
    • Food & Beverage
    • Pharmaceutical
    • Chemical
    • Plastics/packaging, or similar
  • Familiarity with reliability‑centred maintenance methodologies.
  • Knowledge of relevant German industrial safety regulations.
