Employee Relations Partner

Location: Rockford, IL
Salary Range: $85,000 - $93,000 annually

Overview
A leading global confectionery manufacturer is seeking an Employee Relations Partner to support hourly employees and supervisors in a 24/7 manufacturing environment. This role ensures fair and consistent application of policies, addresses workplace concerns, and promotes engagement and retention.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary contact for employee relations issues across all shifts.
  • Investigate attendance, conduct, and performance concerns promptly and objectively.
  • Advise supervisors on handling sensitive situations and applying policies consistently.
  • Maintain accurate, confidential documentation of employee relations matters.
  • Partner with HR and Operations to improve communication, accountability, and retention.
  • Support engagement and recognition programs to foster a positive workplace culture.
  • Collaborate with HR and Legal on complex cases to ensure compliance with labor laws.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or related field.
  • 2-5 years of employee relations experience, including employment law exposure.
  • Experience in a 24/7 manufacturing environment required.
  • Strong judgment in handling sensitive information.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and HRIS systems.
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Spanish fluency preferred.
  • Experience with change management and continuous improvement (TPM/Lean) initiatives.
