Engineering Project Manager

A well‑established pharmaceutical and biotechnology company is seeking a Project Manager, Engineering Projects based in Oregon. This role will be responsible for leading complex, high‑value capital investments that support the growth and modernization of pharmaceutical manufacturing operations. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering projects that enhance site capabilities while consistently maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.

What you will do:
* Execute site‑level capital projects from initiation through closeout, ensuring alignment with defined scope, schedule, budget, and business objectives.
* Lead projects through all engineering phases, including conceptual planning, detailed design, construction management, commissioning, and final qualification activities.
* Ensure all project activities comply with site safety programs, quality systems, and applicable regulatory and cGMP requirements.
* Manage external engineering firms, contractors, and vendors while overseeing procurement, sourcing, and contract administration processes.
* Identify project risks early, develop mitigation strategies, and proactively address issues to minimize cost or schedule impacts.
* Coordinate the effective handover of engineering packages, asset documentation, and GMP records to operations and maintenance teams.
* Provide mentorship and guidance to project team members, promoting consistent project management standards and best practices across the site.

What we are looking for:
* Minimum of five years of progressive engineering experience within a manufacturing or regulated production environment.
* At least five years of direct experience leading or managing capital or engineering projects from concept to completion.
* Strong understanding of cGMP principles and experience working within regulated manufacturing operations is preferred.
* Proficiency with common project and engineering systems, including Microsoft Project, AutoCAD, SAP, and CMMS platforms.
* Demonstrated ability to lead cross‑functional teams, influence stakeholders, and manage external contractors effectively.
* Excellent communication, organization, and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to operate in a fast‑paced environment.
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a closely related technical discipline.
