Indirect Procurement Manager
We are supporting a Pharmaceutical company in their search for an Indirect Procurement Manager to play a critical role in driving strategic sourcing, optimizing total cost of ownership, and enhancing supplier relationships across a range of indirect categories. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong functional execution skills to manage procurement operations and deliver value across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Contract Management:
- Develop, negotiate, and manage a variety of contracts including Master Service Agreements for categories such as Facilities, HR, travel, storage, security, food services, consulting, and site supplies.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure contracts align with organizational goals and compliance standards.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders to align procurement strategies with business needs.
- Communicate sourcing strategies and negotiation outcomes to relevant departments and leadership.
Supplier Relationship Management (SRM):
- Establish and maintain long-term supplier relationships to maximize value.
- Implement SRM frameworks and performance metrics to drive continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with MRO stakeholders to ensure supplier performance meets operational requirements.
Commodity Management:
- Develop and maintain annual commodity plans, including spend analysis, supplier evaluations, and market trend assessments.
- Create and manage multi-year sourcing roadmaps and initiatives.
- Evaluate global sourcing options to meet service, quality, cost, sustainability, and risk objectives.
- Oversee Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) programs.
Strategic Sourcing:
- Lead strategic sourcing initiatives by:
- Analyzing commodity markets and developing cost models.
- Partnering with stakeholders to define scopes of work.
- Executing sourcing strategies and advanced negotiation tactics.
- Finalizing agreements in collaboration with legal and business units.
Risk Management:
- Monitor supplier risk profiles and implement mitigation strategies.
- Recommend and execute optimal sourcing strategies in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Cost and Synergy Delivery:
- Manage a portfolio of sourcing initiatives to achieve cost savings and efficiency targets.
- Develop and implement strategic procurement programs aligned with business objectives.
Operational Duties:
- Ensure supplier contracts support objectives such as quality, timely delivery, cost efficiency, and inventory management.
- Lead RFIs, RFQs/RFPs, supplier evaluations, and contract negotiations.
- Identify and manage MRO suppliers and ensure compliance with procurement policies.
- Support daily procurement operations and the end-to-end Procure-to-Pay (P2P) process.
- Evaluate supplier performance using KPIs to drive improvements in quality, delivery, and cost.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Project teams to support indirect procurement needs.
- Negotiate major purchases and manage contract lifecycles.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 6 years of progressive experience in MRO sourcing, contracting, supply chain, or logistics within regulated industries (e.g., pharmaceutical, medical device, aerospace).
- Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, supply chain, logistics, or a related field.
- Professional certifications (e.g., CPIM, CPM, CPSM) are preferred.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Proven ability to evaluate suppliers and drive cost-effective procurement strategies.
- Familiarity with global sourcing methodologies and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, Microsoft Dynamics).
