Overview
The Maintenance Manager will lead and develop the maintenance team in a modern, high‑performance corrugated packaging facility. This role combines hands‑on technical expertise with strategic leadership to ensure the safe maintenance, repair, and optimization of plant assets. A major focus is maximizing machine uptime in a non‑redundant operation where equipment reliability is critical.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Strategy
- Develop and execute both short‑term and long‑term maintenance strategies to support operational efficiency and reliability.
- Establish departmental safety goals and ensure a safe working environment for all maintenance personnel.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment performance, production efficiency, and overall plant reliability.
Equipment & Maintenance Management
- Build and manage an effective plant maintenance program using industry best practices to drive equipment uptime and reliability.
- Oversee and inspect maintenance work to ensure effective, efficient, and up‑to‑date preventive and corrective maintenance practices.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable safety, health, and environmental regulations.
- Track, analyze, and report maintenance KPIs to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
Team Development
- Provide guidance, coaching, and professional development for maintenance staff.
- Promote a culture of accountability, high performance, safety awareness, and technical excellence.
Qualifications
Education
- Associate degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering (required).
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
Experience
- Minimum 10 years of supervisory maintenance experience in a corrugated packaging manufacturing facility (required).
- Strong experience with maintenance planning, reliability programs, and machine uptime optimization.
- Experience managing budgets and maintenance department financial planning.
