Manufacturing Engineer III

A high‑growth, precision medical device manufacturer is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer III to join their team in the greater Buffalo, New York area. They are looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys being hands-on, and wants ownership over how products go from concept to production.

You'll be on the shop floor solving real problems, working directly with customers, and owning manufacturing processes end‑to‑end.

What you'll be doing:

  • Owning manufacturing processes that translate customer designs into high‑quality, on‑time products.
  • Designing tooling and fixtures; create drawings, routers, and work instructions.
  • Supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) from prototype through full production.
  • Troubleshooting efficiency, scrap, and quality issues directly on the production floor.
  • Ensuring compliance with FDA regulations, QMS, and safety requirements.

Required Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
  • 2+ years of Manufacturing Engineering experience in a production environment
    (medical device, aerospace, automotive, or precision metal machining strongly preferred).
  • Hands‑on CNC programming experience.
  • Experience in precision machining and/or metal processing.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks (models, drawings, design intent).
  • Working knowledge of Minitab for statistical analysis.
  • Experience with Oracle or similar ERP systems.

Preferred:

  • Leading or supporting equipment validations (IQ/OQ/PQ).
  • Experience with ISO 13485, GMP, Lean manufacturing, PFMEA, RCA.
