About the Role

A national food distribution organization is seeking an experienced Night Warehouse Manager to oversee overnight warehouse operations within a high volume, service driven distribution center. This role plays a critical part in ensuring timely, accurate order fulfillment while maintaining strict safety, quality, and productivity standards. The Night Warehouse Manager leads large hourly teams, coordinates labor resources, and ensures that nightly shipping and receiving goals are achieved consistently. This position partners closely with senior operations leadership to execute business priorities, support continuous improvement initiatives, and maintain a positive, accountable team culture. The role requires strong leadership presence, operational discipline, and the ability to make decisions in a fast paced environment.

Qualifications

* Previous leadership experience in a warehouse, distribution, or logistics environment
* Experience managing large hourly teams in high volume operations
* Background in food service, cold storage, or regulated environments preferred
* Strong knowledge of safety regulations, OSHA standards, and compliance practices
* Demonstrated experience with labor planning, productivity management, and performance metrics
* Working knowledge of warehouse management systems and inventory processes
* Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification
* Strong communication, coaching, and team development skills
* Ability to work overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays as required

Role Expectations

* Lead and oversee all nightly warehouse operations to meet service level commitments
* Supervise, coach, and develop warehouse associates and front line supervisors
* Ensure compliance with safety, sanitation, and company policies at all times
* Monitor productivity, labor utilization, order accuracy, and inventory integrity
* Address operational issues in real time to prevent service disruptions
* Conduct performance feedback, training, and corrective action as needed
* Partner with cross functional teams including transportation and inventory control
* Promote a culture of accountability, safety, engagement, and continuous improvement
* Prepare reports and communicate operational results to leadership
