About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Ocean Freight Operations Specialist to join our growing team in Hamburg. This role focuses on managing import ocean freight shipments, ensuring smooth operations and exceptional customer service throughout the process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle end-to-end operations for ocean freight imports, including booking, documentation, and customs clearance.
- Coordinate with carriers, agents, and internal teams to ensure timely and accurate shipment execution.
- Maintain strong communication with clients, providing updates and resolving any operational issues.
- Ensure compliance with international shipping regulations and company standards.
- Monitor shipment performance and proactively address delays or disruptions.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Experience in ocean freight operations, specifically import processes, within a freight forwarding or logistics environment.
- Strong knowledge of customs procedures, and international shipping documentation.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in relevant logistics software and MS Office applications.
- Fluency in German and English; additional languages are an advantage.
