Packaging Process Engineer (M/F/D)

Join a growing global packaging organisation as a technical process engineer to support with their manufacturing processes and optimisation. As this organisation are in a phase of improving their processes and technology, you will play a key role in solving technical challenges with strong growth potential moving forwards.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Development, configuration and optimisation of industrial processes from concept to commissioning and certification
  • Development of best practices, routines and innovative solutions to improve production rates and product quality
  • Leading or supporting technology transfers/improvements by conducting laboratory and/or pilot plant trials and providing technical risk assessments for process adjustments
  • Evaluation and monitoring of the situation regarding BOM/formula optimisation, testing changes with all related departments and ensuring successful implementation across the entire group
  • Contributing to technical analysis and problem‑solving in a fast‑paced/task‑force environment
  • Improving and supporting data‑driven problem/cause analyses and improvements

Your Profile:

  • Completed degree in Chemistry, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or Industrial Engineering
  • Ideally several years of experience in film packaging production companies and related processes
  • At least 5-7 years of professional experience in technical process engineering or a comparable field
  • Excellent project management and lean management/process optimization skills
  • Leadership qualities required, including acting as a mentor for teams
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage with both team members and management
  • Very good English and German skills, spoken and written
  • Experience with applied statistics, stochastic methods and rationalisation
  • Confident use of MS Office software, especially Excel
  • Strong IT skills
  • Knowledge of the film, packaging or pharmaceutical industry is an advantage
  • Ability to quickly analyze situations and coordinate with the team to find solutions
  • Critical thinking, solution‑oriented, systematic and structured working style, high level of comprehension
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, high resilience
